Propbusters
was called to
order at
8:01pm
with 15
members present.

Old
Business:
Bob
Beringer
Fly-In
:
Will remain a 2-day event this year.
Proper advertising will be done so that the turnout rises this
year. Volunteers are asked
for to help with the event. DB
limit for noise for all aircraft will remain at 100db for sake of our
new neighbors.
Henry
Struck
Electric Fly-In: No changes at this point.
Dates will be July 23rd and 24th.
With the continued advances in electric motors and lithium
polymer batteries, this event should be the best one to date.
Neighborhood
Fun Fly:
August 14th. No
changes at this point
Club
Fun-Fly:
John
Banks
is heading up
this event and plans on having fun-fly events like balloon busts, limbo,
loops and rolls contest, and many other events as well as general
flying. Club members will be
asked for insight as to what events they would like to see/compete in as
we get closer to the event. There
will be food and prizes at this event as well.
Heli-Flyin:
Eric
is working
hard on this event and progress is being made to make it the best so
far.
Sign:
Bernie
is just about
finished with the sign and will be handing it off to
Tom
Vernon
for
installation at the spring cleanup.
Membership
Cards:
Members are reminded to carry their membership cards and AMA
cards on them at the field at all times.
We have run into several problems with non-members flying at the
field without other members being present.
New
Business:
Field Cleanup Day:
2nd Saturday in April, 9:00am at the
Salem
location. Please
bring rakes, shovels, etc to aid in the cleanup effort. New numbers will
also be ordered for the frequency board.
IMAA
Flyin:
Dick
Wilkins
brought flyers
to several IMAA events. September
3 and 4th is the annual date of the District 1 Mini-fest.
Winterbury RC will host the event this year.
Flyers will be recreated in the newsletter and directions will
also be posted for all those interested.
Doolittle
Raiders: The original men responsible for the
Doolittle
raid on
Tokyo
are holding a
reunion in Mystic this year on April, 15, 16, and 17th.
