Fly In Reports:
July 23 & 24 -
Henry
Struck Electric Fly-In
Jorge
Cintron
was the CD and headed up this event. Good weather, lots of fliers
and many airplanes
of all types. This event just gets better and better and is expected to
become a premier event in future
years. See report on following other page in this newsletter.
August 14 –
Mark
Rice
Memorial Neighborhood Fun Fly
Dennis
Duplice
&
Ray
Knieriem
organized and ran this event. It was one of the best ever with
about 35 members participating and many want to be fliers tried their hand
at flying a trainer. A special thanks goes out to
Linda
Rice
and
Jeanne
Czikowsky
who cooked and managed the entire food operation.
Jeanne
did manage to get
Ron
to cook.
Linda
Rice
made a great CHILI that was enjoyed by all, especially ME.
August 27 - Club Fun
Fly
John
Banks
IV
pulled it off again. Lots of fun and it was a sight to behold to see
John
,
Sidney
Ollie
(special guest) ,
Bernie
Liskov
and
Fred
Meyer
try their hand at LIMBO. Not one plane escaped in one piece,
especially after
John
and
Sidney
had a fly off by flying inverted under a ribbon 12” off the ground.
That’s right, scratch two.
September 10 &11
- Helicopter Fly In
Eric
Ehrenfels
was the CD for this event with
Eric
Anderson
. The guys did a terrific job, finally had great weather, but a
disappointing turn out. Only 20 fliers, but with food and T-Shirt
sales they came out in the black by $78.00. Watch for this event to
become very big next year as more people hear about how well it was run
and how enthusiastic the two
Eric
’s are.
