Minutes of the September
17th,
2003 Meeting
The meeting was called to order at 8:05 PM with 19 members
in attendance. The minutes of the last meeting were accepted as read.
The Treasurer reported and accepted as follows, June
beginning balance $7,334.87, Income $225.00, Expenses $290.57, closing balance
$7,289.30.
Old Business:
Club Banquet- Fred didn’t have time to make the call
but will let us know next month, he is also looking to set up a committee.
Stay tuned.
R/C Propbusters- No update from Dick Wilkins.
Possible New flying site- Fred has looked at Stones Ranch
as a possible flying sight site. We have had no response with the 2 letters
that he has penned, he would like to talk to someone in person but doesn’t
know who. Stay tuned.
New sign- Tom Vernon will speak to Gadbois about
us putting a club sign at the end of the drive, we will use our old sign.
Noise levels- It is clear that the use of a proper
muffler system can make for a quiet model. Please try to use the quiet systems
on models. We will be looking into noise levels this winter.
New Business:
· 2003 Schedule of Events- As
follows.
Club Fun Fly- Cans. till first week in Oct. Fred
has picked up a plane and motor to raffle off at the event.
Helicopter Fun Fly- Sat & Sun- Sept 27 &
28. Charlie Lewis CD. Fred has food, drinks are in the shed. Charlie has
volunteers in place. The field will be closed to fixed wing all day sat and
there will be open flying sun after 3:00.
Town hall- Fred and Tom Vernon will go to the town hall and
introduce the club to the town officials.
Elections- Nominations will begin at the October
meeting. We will try to have all voting complete by December so to have new
officers in place for January.
New members- None.
